Some of the links on this site earn me money. Here is exactly which ones, how much, and what it means for you — because you deserve to know before you click, not after.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code attached. If you click it and buy something, the store pays me a small commission out of their margin. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. There is no markup, no surcharge, and no way for me to change what a store charges you.
Amazon
I participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
When a post recommends a physical product — a pan, a thermometer, a book — the link usually goes to Amazon and usually carries my tag. Amazon’s tracking cookie lasts 24 hours from the click.
Prices on Amazon change constantly, so I do not print Amazon prices here. The price you see on Amazon at the moment you buy is the real one.
Etsy
My own printables are sold through my Etsy shop, BrazilianGoodsStudio. The links from this site to those listings are tracked through Etsy’s Share & Save program, which refunds me part of the Etsy fees on an order I sent. It costs you nothing and changes nothing about the price, the file, or the delivery. It simply means Etsy takes a slightly smaller cut when you arrive from my own site instead of from an ad.
What I will not do
- I will not recommend a product I have not used, cooked with, walked past or read.
- I will not write a review from a product page. If I have not held it, I will say so.
- I will not hide an affiliate link behind a shortener or a mystery button.
- I will not put affiliate links inside the PDFs you buy. What you paid for stays clean.
